Program Evaluation and Recognition Program (PERP) is an acclaimed nation-wide initiative of Frost & Sullivan to recognize and award distinguished projects undertaken by organizations to achieve business goals, operational excellence, enhance sustainability etc.  Projects are nominated under nine categories viz. Cost Leadership, Customer Value Leadership, Environment Leadership, Human Capital Leadership, Information Technology Leadership, Operational Excellence Leadership, Process Innovation Leadership, Safety Leadership, and Supply Chain Leadership. Winners are recognized under each category.

It was a proud moment for BORL as the Company was nominated amongst the winners in two categories:

1.Process Innovation Leadership – The innovative idea to implement New Penex Unit in modular fashion at BORL thereby reducing mechanical completion time, quantum of on-site works and ensuring quality construction won the ‘First Runner-up Award’ in the Project Innovation Leadership category. This is the first such endeavor successfully undertaken by a refinery in India. Mr Hardeep Singh (AVP – Project Technology) made the presentation at the event held at Mumbai.

2.Cost Leadership – The Electrical project team of BORL re-analyzed requirements of electrical equipment and infrastructure in Debottlenecking project by developing a model to study existing and anticipated load flows while considering benefits of electricity duty exemption for new projects. Through various simulations inducing reshuffling of loads, the team came up with alternate project plans which were vetted by cross functional teams. The adoption of alternative project plan is slated to significantly reduce the capex in Electrical projects; the efforts and the idea won Certificate of Merit’ under the Cost Leadership category at the event. Mr Gajanan Koshatwar (Sr Mgr – Electrical) delivered the presentation.

Heartiest Congratulations!
